Competition and Learnings

Our competition at UC Berkely was an amazing experience, despite our shortcomings. We met many impressive teams, who came from far and wide around the world. Although we did not succeed to make it further in the competition than qualifiers, we learned a very valuable lesson about the composition of our robot: the elevator has to go.

Throughout the first semester of this season, we have tried to build an innovative robot (our elevator design) which was never seen before. We learned however (the hard way) that this method did not work. Perhaps it wasn’t the design but more the construction, something we noticed especially through our chain snapping issue. However in the end this method did not work for us. This is why we have decided to build and improve a already existing design.
